Food City Pharmacy Supports Hamblen County Area Schools

Food City Pharmacy Supports Hamblen County Area Schools
Abingdon, VA. - Monday, Oct 20, 2014.

Last Friday, Food City Pharmacies in Morristown, TN donated some much-needed medical supplies to the Hamblen County school system clinics.

Dr. Freda Gray, pharmacy manager for the Food City location in east Morristown first brought the need to the company’s attention.  “Each year, area schools are faced with an extremely limited budget.  That is particularly true of their school clinics,” says Dr. Gray, whose children attend East High School.

Dr. Gray rallied the support of her management team, along with that of the two other Morristown Food City Pharmacy locations.  The three retail pharmacies presented the Hamblen County School System with a large bag of medical supplies for each of the 18 area Hamblen County elementary, middle, alternative and high schools.

“We appreciate the commitment the school nurses have to the well care of our children and we would like to support their efforts,” adds Dr. Gray.
